Yin and Yangs of Relationships

Hi Jordan,

I'm very unsure of what direction to take now in my life. It's been nearly 9 years since everything went crashing all around me.  I dealt with everything the only way I could at the time day by day. I made right decisions and a lot of wrong ones. I'm a very positive person and that's helped me a lot. I remarried in 2007 after my first husband past away suddenly in 2005. I love this man dearly sadly there has been a lot of hurt pain and now a lot of anger. 

We were unable to live to live together due to unfortunate circumstances. We do now finally have a chance to be together he has lost all faith in us, yet we cannot part from each other our love is strong and I feel we can pull through this. I don't like him at the moment I feel he is not completely honest with me. He says he is not relying on no one no more. It's so hard to walk away from this relationship. I love him but sadly I do not trust him and that hurts so much.

If he could forgive and move on let the past go we could be so good together. He is a cancer man, very loving but is filled with a lot of hurt and anger. I know my life is now reached new beginnings I am going to go to him very soon. I'm told we will make it, I am very scared we both are. I work with my universe and I have a whole lot of faith. 

Can you give me any advice.

Hello Marilyn,

I'm sorry to hear of your late husband and am happy you found someone to love. Life is full of ups and downs, or as spiritually said with yins and yangs. No matter how hard we try, there will always be difficult situations and challenges to overcome. The trick is when faced with a challenge, to not be consumed with the negativity that exists but to use our ability to choose to harness the positive energies that exist to maintain the light in our mind, body and souls.

Patience is a key to any relationship, as is understanding. It seems you understand the situation going on with your partner. As there is still love in your heart, perhaps ask yourself what you can do differently in regards to your own thoughts and actions to help save your relationship. Often, it is difficult to show patience and love during hard times.  Instinctively, one reacts based on his or her own feelings, and no matter how much love exists in the soul, the actions and words of one in a stressful situation do not show love but instead express anger, frustration and distrust. 

Instead of focusing on how your partner can change, what can you do differently to make the situation better. Instead of "I", why not focus on "We." 

You can't change another, you can only change yourself. Do you love this man enough to work on yourself and give fate a chance to help him see his love for you is stronger than his emotions of anger, hurt and frustration.

Relationships aren't easy, but given the right energy - any mountain can be climbed.
